In this experiment you will further improve the performance of the control system. To improve system performance, a PID controller will be introduced.
The aim of this experiment is for you to be able to:
- Design and set up a simple control system for PID position control for the DC motor
- Observe the effects that changing the P, I and D values has on the time domain performance of the system
- Tune the system to achieve smallest rise time with a maximum overshoot of 25%.
